OFFICERS ELECTED BY ACCLAMATION

Completion of the Officer Nomination process saw each candidate running unopposed for their desired position. Therefore, as stipulated in Article X, Section 11.b of the Philadelphia BMC Local 7048 Constitution, these candidates have been duly elected to office by acclamation. LOCAL STEPS UP CIRCUIT CITY BOYCOTT

The BMC Local 7048 has increased its pressure on Circuit City to change it employment practices. The Local has sent a letter of protest to Circuit City CEO Phillip J Schoonover condemning his actions and calling upon him to make the appropriate changes. You can read the letter here [PDF].
