Tentative Date Announced For
Retro-Active Back Pay & More
|
The
USPS has announced a tentative date for the retro-active
back pay owed to employees under the 2024-2027 Contract.
The payment date has been set at April 10, 2026.
The APWU believes the back pay calculations
can be completed
sooner that April 10, 2026 and is pressing the USPS on
this issue.
The
retro-active pay will caover all paid hours from Nov.
16, 2024 to Aug. 23, 2025. We cannot tell you how
much the back pay will since people's total paid hours
may be different. Someone who worked overtime will
get more, while someone who used LWOP will get less.

Grade 3 to Grade 4 begins November 1, 20

Step JJ for Grade 4 begins November 1, 2025

COLA Increases Add To Member's
Paychecks
|
The
APWU recently reported that several of the retro active
pay increases from the 2024-2027 contract are now in
effect.

It is important to remind everyone that the APWU is the
only
Postal Union where
all
career employees get the full amount of the COLA.
The Carrier and Mailhandler Unions agreed to a
"sliding scale" COLA where senior employees get the
full amount and junior employees get less.
This is not fair and APWU President Dminodstein fought
for, and won, full COLA for all APWU represented
career employees!

New Pay Rates Are In Effect /
More Coming

The
APWU recently announced that several of the retro active
pay increases from the 2024-2027 contract are now in
effect.

The November 16, 2024 1.3%
general wage increase (2.3% for PSEs), and
-
The February 2025
Cost-of-Living (COLA) Increase for all career
employees
are
effective as of August 23, 2025.
These new rates will be reflected in paychecks dated
September 12, 2025 (PP19).
The August
2025 COLA will take effect on September 06, 2025
and will appear in paychecks on September 26, 2025
(PP20).
